Simply an excellent stand!

I received this stand in the mail yesterday and spent about 30 minutes or so putting it together and I must say I am extremely pleased with it! It seems these days that nothing that comes "ready to assemble" from manufacturers is truly so. Lots of shims, or enlarging holes, or just plain brute force is called for more and more when assembling products. Not this stand! Everything lined up perfectly and the fit and finish of the stand is excellent. I own a Delta planer so I had to drill my own holes in the top but that was an easy task. I would guess that if you had the Dewalt planer then the whole assembly including mounting the planer would take no time at all. It rolls easily around my shop unless I have the wheel down and then it sits still while I plane boards. I am very pleased with this stand and will most likely purchase another to modify for my miter saw.

You can't go wrong purchasing this stand! Well done Dewalt!!

Shipping Disasters

After ordering the table, I waited, and it shipped, and then I waited, and waited some more. After three weeks, and several e-mails, Amazon finally shipped a new one and I received it.

The stand seems to be pretty heavy and well made. When I finally receive the planer, I will know a bunch more.

High Quality with Versality

The DeWalt Planer stand met all my expectations. I own a Delta 22-580 Planer. It works well with this stand. I had to drill four holes in the table of the stand to match my planer, but other than that it went together quickly, is very sturdy and does the job it was intended to do.

My wife is very happy since I can roll my planer to the side of the garage so she can park her car.

I initially was going to build my own planer stand, but after estimating the cost of doing this it would not have saved any money.

not bad

These work allright but aren't the best made guide bushings out there. They're made up of 2 pieces pressed together kind of like a rivet. They're ok, but not heavy duty. The Porter Cable type guide bushings are a little beefier & made with thicker metal. What I ended up using was just the PC adapter (available by itself at any wood working store), a set of PC guide bushings (available anywhere) & a centering pin. Make sure to close the lever tight on the Bosch template adapter, otherwise it can move around & the bit won't be centered in the bushing. Personally I find these reviews very helpful & want to say thanks to the people who write them. They can definitely save us some time, money & headaches. If you have an opinion on a product I encourage you to put it in writing. Happy wood working!!

Don't forget the PC Adapter!

This is a great set of the most common sized template guides. They come in a nice, sturdy case that has room for 3 extra guides should you buy another size. What's great about these adapters is that they snap into your Bosch router - quick and easy and they stay in place.

However, the REAL selling point of this guide set is that it comes with the RA1100 threaded guide adapter. This adapter allows you to use Porter-Cable template guides in a Bosch Router. Many reviewers complain when they buy a PC dovetail jig or inlay kit that comes with a PC template guide, that it doesn't fit in their router...One guy hemmed and hawed that he had to create a custom baseplate for his Bosch router so that he could use his PC template guide! There's an easier way! It's the RA1100. It too snaps into the router just like a template guide, but it's slot is just the right size to fit threaded guides from PC. It's the ultimate in versatility.
Great guide set, but the PC adapter makes it a must own.

simple template changes

I have recently purchaed a Bosch router and love it. It came with the adapter for these templates and they make changing different sizes a snap. No locking collar, just essentially snap them in and your ready to do dovetails, follow patterns, etc.

Heavy Duty jigsaw

Read all the reviews. Tried it out at the Woodworkers Show. Bought it. Love it! If you like a good solid, stable, clean cutting machine, then this jigsaw is what you're looking for. I get good square cuts that are easy to follow a line (no vibration, blade guide that keeps the blade from "bending", very solid mass, but not "overweight"). Chip blower does a great job of keeping your path clear. Blade replacement is just a matter of pushing a button; no more tools. You will definitely get your money's worth with this power tool.

This jigsaw is simply awesome! Smooth, powerful, and gets the job done RIGHT. I read some previous reviews for individuals who said this did not come with a case. IT COMES WITH A CASE. So I'm not sure what they're talking about. (...) 5-STARS all the way!

Clean Cut from a "Slick" Jigsaw

I've been used to enduring the HD special cheepo Jigsaws all my life. These things twist and warp during a cut until they finaly break. The Bosch is the first high end jigsaw I've worked with. It's most impressive feature, other than perfect cutting performance, is the effortless blade change feature. To remove a blade, all you have to do is push a button and "PoP" out comes the blade. Checked the sole plate alignment with a square and it's dead nuts on. The orbital motion really works- makes it cut like a hot knife through butter. I feel good about my purchase.
